Financial Assistance for Nunavut Students (FANS)

Financial Assistance for Nunavut Students (FANS) helps eligible Nunavut residents with the cost of their post-secondary education. Whether planning to attend a college, university, university-college, public institute or private training school, students have access to loans, grants, scholarships and travel benefits.

FANS' programs are mostly need-based, providing assistance when students and their immediate families do not have the resources to meet the costs of full-time education and basic living expenses. However, assistance based on academic merit or designed for special student groups is also available.

FANS administers programs on behalf of the Nunavut Government, as well as federal Millennium Scholarship Foundation programs.
